Hello everyone and once again welcome to MANUEL’S TOP 3 EVENTS OF THE WEEK!
This is a very special week, as we celebrate World Dance Day and of course International Jazz Day – April 29th and April 30th, respectively. If dancing is poetry with arms and legs then music is poetry with words and melody.
It is within this strong cultural spirit that I proceed to propose to you the following events for this week:
1st Event – “M’TSANGANO” by Banda M’laio
April 30 (Friday)
Live on Facebook from Fundação Fernando Leite Couto
7:00pm to 8:00pm
Allusive to the International Jazz Day, I propose to you ladies and gentlemen, M’tsangano, by the Mozambican Afrojazz band “M’laio”. The band merges African Rhythms such as Marrabenta, Tufo, Mutimba with other styles like Jazz, Bossa Nova and more, without losing the sense of tradition.
2nd Event – “Motus Corporis” by Ivan Barros and Lulu Sala
April 30 (Friday)
Live on Facebook from Centro Cultural Franco Moçambicano
6:30pm to 7:00pm
Motus Corporis is a dance performance with the Mozambican dancer Lulu Sala and the videographer Ivan Barros, referring to the World Dance Day, which is celebrated on the 29th of April.
3rd Event – “Caras do Franco” Interviews with David Bamo-Guest: Roberto Chitsondzo
April 28 (Wednesday)
Live on Facebook from Centro Cultural Franco Moçambicano
6:30pm to 7:00pm
Caras do Franco – Interviews with David Bamo is a series of conversations with different cultural actors about their memories and experiences around the Franco-Mozambican Cultural Center.
The show premiered last week, having as the first guest, the all-star Theater Diva ‘Ana Magaia’. For this week, Caras do Franco will delight us with the memories, wisdom and talent of the Legendary Mozambican Musician ‘Roberto Chitsondzo’.
