Último Berro – Body in a state of emergency | Centro Cultural Franco Moçambicano

An essay on what constitutes the reinvention of the body in a state of emergency, starting from the current crisis situations, from Cabo Delgado to Covid-19. The intention is to offer “ricochets” in these cloudy times and live this time of turbulence of our common present seeking aesthetic and architectural connections. “Ultimo berro” is a video-dance performance with the eye of the video maker Ivan Barros who seeks to situate and question the body of the dancer Ídio Chichava in the midst of different architectures of the city and periphery from Maputo, with a text by Filimone Meigos that gives the poetic dimension to the sound of Lenna Bahule’s soundtrack, giving rhythm and affirming a multidisciplinary collaboration work.
